Steve Doty has a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University in Business Administration and has 27 years experience in employee benefits as an agent. Steve has considerable expertise in legislative issues impacting health care reform.
He was appointed by the Oregon Insurance Commissioner to serve as Chair of the Health Insurance Reform Advisory Committee and was directly involved in the drafting and implementation of SB 152 and SB 98, the legislation which recently created significant health insurance reforms in Oregon and brings Oregon into compliance with the federal HIPAA legislation.
He was also appointed by Governor Kitzhaber to serve on the Insurance Pool Governing Board which has responsibility to oversee the FHIAP program which provides a subsidy for low income individuals to purchase private health insurance.
Kevin Doty earned a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University, and holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation. He has 24 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Kevin has worked in sales and management positions for both national and regional insurance companies; including Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company and LifeWise Assurance Company. Kevin has also worked as a benefits consultant for Aon Consulting, one of the largest employee benefits consulting firms in the country.
Kevin has handled literally hundreds of employee benefit plans for employer groups of all sizes, all industries, and all levels of complexity throughout the west. Kevin has significant experience and expertise in group life, group disability and supplemental employee benefit plans.
Gene Maudlin received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
He has 29 years of experience in employee benefits and served as Regional Manager for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in Portland for 22 years. He holds a Charter Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
